Question

adjust payroll liabilities qbo

Has anyone found a work around for the fact that QBO ridiculously does not allow adjustments to payroll liabilities. The recommendation is to contact support but everything that I have read says that is a useless process. This is one more reason why I think QBO is a STUPID program. The more I dig into this the more I find issues.

I recognize the importance of addressing payroll liabilities for your business, mwilt1.

I recommend contacting our Payroll Support Team. They have the tools to access your account in a secure environment and can conduct a thorough investigation.

On the other hand, the ability to make adjustments in payroll liabilities is currently unavailable. With this, I recommend sending feedback to our product developers. This way, they can further review which parts of the program need enhancements and consider adding them to future updates.

Here's how to submit feedback to QBO:

  1. Select Settings, then Feedback.
  2. Enter your comments or product suggestions.
  3. Then select Next to submit feedback.

Once submitted, you can track your feature request through QBO Feature Requests website.

YES!  Finally got an agent who was able to help.  There is a Non-Posting Transaction you can do to adjust liabilities.  Go to the payroll center and payroll taxes and click on resources.  Record tax payments (prior tax history).  Record a payment for what you need to adjust.  Does not hit bank account, liabilities or expenses.
