Question

After running payroll, my Federal 941 liability is not showing up in the Payroll Tax Center.

Previously, I would run payroll then jump to Payroll Tax Center and pay the 941 charges. Now, when I jump to the tax center, no Federal 941 liabilities are showing at all.

@bobransom  The first thing that comes to mind is whether you were set up to have Intuit auto-pay payroll taxes, whether intentionally or accidentally.

If that did come to pass, QBO changed to automatically draw out the payroll taxes from your bank account after each payroll, whether they pay them straightaway or wait for the due date to do so.

If such is the case with your situation, there's probably a connection there.

One possible reason why the 941 liabilities aren't appearing in the Payroll Tax Center could be due to changes in your deposit schedule, Bob.

To verify this, you can review your payroll settings by following these steps:

  1. Go to the Gear icon and select Payroll settings.
  2. Click the Pencil icon to open the tax info.
  3. Click Edit and check if the settings are the same.

If no changes were made, I recommend contacting our live support team. Our representatives are well-equipped to diagnose and help resolve the issue with the missing 941 liability.
