Question

Arizona's state tax withholding percentages are changing in 2023. When will our QB Payroll online be amended to update those percentages?

Let me share some updates about Arizona's state tax withholding percentages, @ptvhardware.

Due to the passage of Senate Bill 1828, Arizona's individual income tax rates are being reduced. As a result, Arizona recently revised the Employee's Arizona Withholding Election form, requiring all employees to complete an updated 2023 A-4 tax form. You can find a copy of the updated tax form on the agency website

The QuickBooks Online Payroll Team has completed our implementation of the new rates. They can be updated by electing Employees, choosing the employee name and then selecting Employment Details.

Details and FAQs related to the new withholding requirements are located on the Arizona Department of Revenue homepage

If the updated percentage doesn't show on your end, I suggest contacting our support team for further guidance. Let me show you how:

  1. Sign in to your QuickBooks Online company.
  2. Proceed to Help (?).
  3. Click Contact Us.
  4. Enter your concern, then choose Let's talk.
  5. Choose Start a chat or Get a callback from the next available expert.
