Asterix in front of employee's name on QB Time

If the asterisk is only appearing in QuickBooks Time, but not in QuickBooks Online, you can try updating the employee's name in QuickBooks Time.

Here's how:
 

1. In your left navigation bar, go to My Team.
2. Find the team member and access their profile.
3. In your Team Member Details window, make any necessary changes.
4. Select Save.

If it continues displaying an asterisk while there isn't one in the employees name in QuickBooks Time or QuickBooks Online, I'd initially recommend clearing cached data and Intuit-specific cookies to see if it will stop showing. Sometimes temporary internet files can cause certain webpages to display incorrectly, so this could have something to do with why you're seeing an asterisk.

In the event it continues displaying after troubleshooting, you'll want to continue getting in touch with our Customer Care team. They'll be able to pull up your account in a secure environment, conduct further research with you, and create an investigation ticket if necessary.
