Best Way to Contact Payroll Support Number for Urgent Assistance?

We're experiencing payroll tax miscalculations in QB Payroll Support Number. The deductions don’t match with the actual rates for federal and state taxes. Has anyone faced this? How did you resolve it? Should I call QuickBooks Payroll Support for assistance, or is there another solution?

The miscalculation of payroll tax can occur when incorrect rates are provided during the setup that causes incorrect computation. I'm here to help you resolve this issue, Kim.
 
You'll have to ensure that taxes are properly configure in QuickBooks Desktop for both federal and state taxes to achieve accurate rate calculations. This includes the current official rates for the correct computation. Please know that QuickBooks always updates tax rates automatically, so you don't have to worry of updating them frequently.

If it's not updating to the current rate, make sure that your QuickBooks Desktop is updated to the latest version. Updates typically include fixes for known issues, including errors in tax calculation. Also, ensure you have downloaded the most latest tax table update to stay compliant with paycheck calculations.
 
If you continue to experience issues with your taxes despite these steps, I recommend contacting our support team for further assistance. To do so, follow the steps below:
 
  1. Open QuickBooks.
  2. Go to Help, then select QuickBooks Desktop Help/Contact Us.

What "rates" are you referring to?  Tax bracket rates?  Income tax withholding doesn't match actual tax rates.

Payroll deductions don't match actual tax rates because withholding is based on each employee's W-4 information (single or multiple jobs, filing status: single, MFJ, etc., dependents, adjustments), not tax bracket rates.  If withholding was based on actual tax rates, employees would have far too much tax withheld.  If you want to know if an employee is having the proper amount withheld, use the worksheet found on page 12 of IRS Publication 15-T, and then use the tables that follow to confirm how much should be withheld.  This issue has been brought up many times over the last few years on this forum and I have yet to see QB calculating withholding incorrectly.

    This will connect you with the appropriate support team member and assist with your credit card charges.

     

    Here's how:

     

    1. Log in to your QBO account.
    2. Click the Help icon.
    3. Enter a brief description of your issue, then click Contact Us.
    4. Then, click the Callback option.

     

    While waiting for the callback, you can go to your QBO account, and check more details about Intuit charges to your credit card.
