Can I chane the pay period in Quickbooks online?

Let me guide you through the steps of changing the pay period in QuickBooks Online (QBO).

Here's how:

1. Go to the Payroll menu, and then Employees.
2. Choose an employee.
3. From Employment details, select Start or Edit.
4. Click the Edit icon from the Pay schecdule.
5. Enter the correct pay period.
6. In the Pay schedule edit confirmation window, choose All employees listed below (this pay schedule will be updated). Then, Save.
7. Hit Save.

However, we can't update if you're trying to change the previously run payroll. Though, we can delete and recreate it. To do this, we can pull up the Paycheck List report to see all the paychecks that you've created. I'll guide you on how.

1. Go to the Reports menu.
2. On the search bar, type Paycheck List.
3. Click the Funnel icon drop-down to choose a date.
4. Put a checkmark on the paychecks you want to delete, then Delete.

Once done, recreate them with the correct pay periods:

1. Go to the Payroll menu, and then Employees.
2. Click Run payroll on the upper right corner, then choose an employee.
3. Enter the necessary information.
4. Select Preview payroll, then Submit payroll.
