I'm glad to see you today, @ricktino.

Yes, you can definitely change the state tax Administrative Contribution rate and its effectivity date to July 1, 2021. QuickBooks Online Enhanced Payroll will retroactively adjust your paychecks to correct the tax liability. However, I suggest you contact payroll support if you have QBO Full Service/Core/Elite/Premium. They can give further information about changing the rate for prior dates.

Here are the steps to edit the rate:

  1. Go to the Gear icon. Then, select Payroll settings.
  2. Go to the State tax section and click the pencil/edit icon.
  3. Under GA Administrative Assessment Rates, click  Change or add new rate.
  4. Enter a new rate and effective date.
  5. Once done, hit OK.
