Can I create (or how) certified payroll reports in QB for state or municipal prevailing wage jobs that require it?

In QuickBooks Online, creating a certified payroll report is unavailable. Alternatively, you can pull up the Time Cost by Employee and Payroll Summary reports data for state or municipal prevailing wage jobs, Daybreaker.

Here are the steps on how to run those reports and consolidate the information through Excel.

1. Go to Projects on the left menu.
2. Click the project name you want to open.
3. In the Project Reports section, select Time cost by employee or vendor.
4. Customize it to include all the details you need. 
5. Select the Export icon. Then, choose Export to Excel.

Payroll Summary Report:

1. Go to the Report menu.
2. Search for Payroll Summary by Employee.
3. Customize the date and other details you want to include in the report.
4. Click Run Report to reflect the changes.
5. Select the Export drop-down arrow on the upper left corner and choose Export to Excel. 

In addition to that, you can set up prevailing wage items and generate certified payroll reports using QuickBooks Desktop Payroll Enhanced and QuickBooks Desktop Payroll Assisted.
