Question

Can I edit hours to pay an employee after I submitted payroll but before 5pm PT?

I went to the payroll list drop down and then I hit edit and changed the hours by adding 8 more hours to the one employee that I made a mistake and did not add memorial day. however I already had submitted the payroll, it only allowed me to save the change. How does it get sent, just by saving?

I appreciate you for sharing in-depth details of your payroll concern, @vardy1r1s. I'm here to share some information about processing payroll.

Yes, you can make any changes before 5:00 PM Pacific Standard Time the cutoff time, and two banking days before the scheduled pay date. Instead of editing the paycheck, you can create an unscheduled payroll for the hours that are not included in it.

To correct a submitted payroll check, you'll have to void or delete it and then recreate it. Here's how:

  1. Go to the Payroll menu, then the Employees tab.
  2. Click the Paycheck list link to open the submitted paycheck.
  3. Select the paychecks you'd like to delete or void, then select EditDelete, or Void
  4. Click Yes.

Once done, you need to recreate the deleted or voided paycheck. For thorough instructions on managing payroll, refer to this article: Create and run your payroll.

But the payroll is a direct deposit one, you'll have to contact our Payroll Support team to verify it and help you recreate it. From there, they have tools to pull up your payroll account and assist you in getting this resolved.
