Yes,hmmwv1999 .

You can run a test payroll via a trial account without adding a bank in QuickBooks Online (QBO).

Using this sample drive, you can explore and experiment with the features and options that you might not feel comfortable trying in your own QuickBooks Online account. Please take note that the app will not save the changes you make.

See this link for the UK test drive: https://qbo.intuit.com/redir/testdrive.

Once you've managed to get a trial account, follow these steps to add employees:

  1. Go to the Payroll menu and click on Employees.
  2. Enter General Information about paying your employee.
  3. Click on Add an employee and complete employee information.
  4. Select Done.

Once you've completed all the necessary info for each employee, you'll see a list of your employees on your payroll.  Then, you can now run your payroll. Here's how:

  1. Go to the Payroll menu and select Employees.
  2. Click on Run payroll.
  3. Choose a pay schedule for your payroll and click on Continue.
  4. Select Preview payroll details or Submit payroll.
  5. Click Finish Payroll.

Thanks for coming back, hmmwv1999.

It's great to know you were able to run a test payroll via a trial account by following the steps provided by my colleague. If you need to run a payroll summary by an employee to view the payroll wages, taxes, deductions, and contributions totaled by employees, just follow the steps below:

  1. Go to Reports.
  2. Scroll down to the Payroll section, then choose Payroll Summary by Employee.
  3. Set a date range, then tap Apply.
  4. If you want to include or hide a specific detail in this report, select Customize then Run report.

To help you track your business and payroll finances, just go through this article: Run payroll reports. This provides you with several payroll reports you can use to view useful information as well as what report to pull up that shows the employee's total pay by pay type. On the same link, you'll find steps on how to customize and print them in QuickBooks Online.

Keep in touch if you need any more assistance with this, or if there's something else I can do for you. I've got your back. You have a good one.
