Can I reverse an entire payroll that I just processed?

This was all paper checks so no direct deposit but I see that I forgot to remove something from the checks so all the checks in QB are incorrect and do not match what was paid in the paper checks.

Welcome to the Community, @ashleyg-wardenen.

Let me help you reverse a payroll your just created in QuickBooks Online.

There are three options you can choose from. You can either edit, delete or void paychecks. See the list below:

  • Edit a paycheck: This updates your paycheck info directly for the payroll. You can edit paychecks if you haven’t sent your payroll to us yet.
  • Delete a paycheck: This removes the paycheck from your payroll. You can delete paychecks if you haven't sent your payroll to us yet.
  • Void a paycheck: This changes your paycheck dollar amount to zero. You may need to make adjustments to balance your books. This doesn't stop a direct deposit from processing and doesn't return funds to you. You can void paychecks if you already sent your payroll to us.

Here's how:

  1. Go to Payroll, then Employees.
  2. Select Paycheck list.
  3. Choose the paycheck(s) you'd like to delete or void, then select EditDelete, or Void.
  4. Click Yes.

If you don't have the option to change, you can see a message for the reason. This time, you can contact our Customer Care team for assistance in making the correction for you.

Thank you for this. Does this change the taxes and W2 once I delete and recreate the payroll check?
