Can I run payroll early for one employee?

We terminated an employee yesterday, and I want to pay out the final paycheck now. I still will need to run a regular payroll in two days.

Yes, you can run an early payroll for only one employee in QuickBooks Online (QBO). Let me guide you through the steps.

Here's how to run unscheduled payroll:

Go to Payroll, then select Employees.
In the dropdown arrow, you select one of these options: Bonus only, Commission only, or Fringe benefits only.
Additional questions may be required based on your selection. Please provide any relevant information regarding taxes or paycheck calculation and select Continue when finished.
Review the pay period and pay date.
Select the employee you'd like to pay.
Click Actions, then Edit paycheck to enter your pay details.
Select Preview payroll.
Review the QuickBooks bank account to track your payroll.
Select Preview payroll details, Save for later, or Submit payroll.
Once done, click Close.
