Can I run payroll for this month?

I cannot select employee to run payroll for this month. Pay calendar says I can run from next month. I adjusted pay calendar to this month but still cannot select employee to run payroll.

I have troubleshooting steps here to help solve your inability to select an employee in QuickBooks Online. This way, you can execute payroll transparently.

 

Make sure you don't skip a pay calendar so you can process the payroll at all times. Once confirmed and the issue persists, I'd recommend doing some basic troubleshooting steps to get rid of the problem. Experiencing this dilemma in Quickbooks is typically the result of outdated or corrupted cache files in your web browser.

 

To start, I'd suggest logging in to your account through an incognito window. This way, we can see if it's browser-related.

 

Here are the keyboard shortcuts:

  • Ctrl Shift (Google Chrome)
  • Ctrl Shift (Firefox)
  •  Control Option (Safari)
  •  Ctrl + Shift + P (Microsoft Edge)

 

Once signed in, re-click the employee and run payroll to verify if it's working adequately. If it works, return to your regular browser and press the CTRL+Shift and Delete keys on your keyboard to clear the cache

 

Once fixed, you can now process payroll to your employees right away.
