Can I schedule an employee to a certain room/office within our corporate offices within Time?

I own an audio company and the rooms are designed for differing kinds of work.  Each person will change rooms depending on what they are working on that day.  I need to be able to schedule them into rooms.  It is defaulting to the clients address.  We are not an on-location service company.  I would love to be able to use "Time" in place of our current scheduling software if possible! Thanks for the help!

Hi, @jamie97. 

Currently, scheduling an employee based on certain rooms or offices within the same location isn't available in QuickBooks Time.

 

However, we can open your QuickBooks Online (QBO) account, and from there, we can turn on class tracking and set classes for your different offices. Doing so enables you to categorize your employees and designated offices. 

 

Here's how: 

 

  1. Go to the Gear icon and select Account and Settings.
  2. Select Advanced, then select the Categories section to edit.
  3. Checkmark Track classes.
  4. Click Warn me when a transaction isn't assigned a class. (optional) 
  5. Under Assign classes, select One to the entire transaction or One to each row in a transaction.
  6. Select Save, then Done.

 

Then, when we sync our QBO to QB Time, the information from QBO automatically transfers to your QuickBooks Time account. There are only a few pieces of information you need to set up manually.
