If I want the net payroll to be $1000 is there a way to set that up?

Yes, @wapitiredbarn. You can set a specific amount for an employee's net pay using QuickBooks Online (QBO) Payroll. I'll drop the step-by-step procedure to guide you through this process.

Here's how:

  1. Go to the Payroll in the menu and hit Employees.
  2. Choose the Run Payroll dropdown, then select Bonus Only
  3. Select As Net Pay, and click on Continue
  4. Enter the pay date.
  5. Choose the employee and enter their net bonus amounts.
  6. If you need to utilize supplemental tax rates or add a pay period, go to the Payroll options.
  7. Click on the Preview Payroll, then Submit Payroll
