Can I use online payroll effectively if we don't have taxes (we are not located in the US)?

I have just subscribed to the online version of QB after using desktop for many years.  The payroll section seems to be a problem since we are not located in the US and do not have taxes.  Is there a way around this?  Also, do all the deductions (I use staff receivables a lot) coincide with the GL?
