Can quick Books provide copies of my employee's 2020 w2'sthat were destroyed

Making sure you and your employees have copies of your W-2s is a key part of your year-end tasks. With this, yes, QuickBooks can provide copies of your employee's 2020 w2's. Please know that you can only get this if you processed W2s within QBO.

Here's how:

1. Go to the Taxes menu and choose Payroll Tax.
2. Select Filings and choose Archived Forms.
3. From the Select the period dropdown arrow, choose 2020 as the year you need. 
4. You can select W-2, Copies A & D (employer), Transmittal of Wage and Tax Statements (W-3), W-2, Copies B, C & 2 (employee)
5. Click View to open Adobe Reader in a new window.
6. Select the print icon on the Reader toolbar. Then, select Print again.

If you're unable to see the W-2s after following the steps above, I recommend contacting our QuickBooks Online Payroll Support. They have the tools to get the said form on your behalf.
