To clarify, are you receiving any error messages when trying to submit the payment? If so, could you share a screenshot of the error? Knowing any additional details about your concern will help me to find the right solution for you as quickly as possible. 

 

While I await your response, let's try some basic troubleshooting steps. 

 

First, let's clear the cache of your browser. Web browsers collect cache to save time when loading repetitive data and images. Over time, these files can become outdated and corrupted, causing issues like the inability to complete a tax payment. I've provided the links for all supported browsers that contain the steps to clear the cache below. 

 

 

After clearing the cache, please make sure to restart your browser so the changes can take effect. 

 

Second, let's check your tax payment settings. One possible reason why you aren't to pay the taxes electronically is when the manual option is selected.

 

Here's how:

 

  1. Open your QuickBooks Online account, then click Payroll Settings under Your Company.
  2. Go to the E-file and e-pay section.
  3. Make sure to select the E-pay and e-file options.
  4. Click Next.
  5. Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the process.

 

After that, try to pay your taxes again.
