Hi there, nurseangela3420.

Thank you for visiting the QuickBooks Community. I'll be sharing troubleshooting steps to ensure you can enter tax information in QuickBooks Self-Employed smoothly.

When entering tax info in QBSE, you should be able to hit or go to the next page once all the needed information is entered. Since you can't hit next on the page to record tax info, it might be the cache full of history and temp files that caused unexpected behaviors. I suggest logging in to your QBSE account using a private browser. This is to rule out the possibility of a webpage issue, and private browsing doesn't store local files or cache.

Use these keyboard shortcuts based on the browser you're using:

  • For Firefox or Microsoft Edge, press Ctrl + Shift + P.
  • For Chrome, press Ctrl + Shift + N.
  • For Safari, hold down Command + Shift + N.

If it works in incognito, you'll have to clear the cache of your regular browser. This removes the history or log of sites so you can start with a clean slate. If the steps above didn't work, use another supported browser as an alternative.

Then, I also recommend refreshing your data on the QBSE App. This refreshes the data to ensure that you're able to process and finish your tax info. This will also help us clear out the stored files which impact and causes problems in the system.

Here's how if you're using an iOS device:

  1. From the Menu ☰, select Help & Feedback.
  2. Press on Refresh Data.
  3. Click on Refresh.

For Android devices:

  1. Select the menu at the top right and choose Settings
  2. Press Refresh Data and choose Yes.

If you're still getting issues after resetting the app's data, I suggest uninstalling and reinstalling the app. Please know that uninstalling the app won't lose any data in your QuickBooks Self-Employed.

Lastly, you can also refer to this article to see different information about how QBSE is designed to help you record your self-employed income and expenses, track mileage and prepare your Schedule C: QuickBooks Self-Employed Overview.

You're always welcome to tag me in your reply if you need more help managing tax details in QBSE. I'll be more than happy to back you up anytime, nurseangela3420. Have a great day!
