While entering payroll I used to be able to adjust garnishment amounts for a particular employee by using the "edit check" feature. It still lets me edit regular deductions but not garnishment amounts.

Hello there, @Dale0217.

I recognize the benefit of being able to modify garnishments while entering payroll in QuickBooks Online (QBO). However, this feature is unavailable. We're now only able to edit deduction amounts.

We always aim to provide the quality service you and other QuickBooks users deserve. With this, I suggest sending this feedback to our Product Development Team so they can consider adding this function in future product enhancements. I'll show you how:

  1. Click the Gear icon and choose Feedback.
  2. Enter your feedback Suggestion.
  3. Press Next.

Then, you can visit our Feedback forum to track the progress of your feature request.

We constantly take your suggestions into account while making product updates. The more requests this gets, the more likely it'll be part of future enhancements.

Learn more about garnishments by visiting this reference: Set up and collect garnishments.

I'm also including this resource that could be helpful if you need to generate payroll reports in QBO to track your business.: Run payroll reports in QuickBooks Online Payroll. The same resources give you details on how to mark a report as a favorite, and customize, and print reports.

If there is anything else I can do to assist you with QuickBooks, particularly payroll-related activities, you can reach out to the Community at any time. I'll be standing by for your response.
