Im doing a clean up for a client. They have a checking account they closed. Its no longer connected to bank feed but has tons of transactions Im having to go through and clean up. They have many payroll transactions that were posted to this old checking that did not clear because the account was closed when the payroll was run I assume. The transactions also posted to the new checking account and did clear through that account because it was the correct account. I cannot delete these payroll transactions from the account, How am I supposed to fix this? add up every single bad payroll transaction and use a journal entry? Attached is photo of my problem

Based on your screenshot, Randy, it seems that you're trying to do direct deposit paycheck in QuickBooks Online (QBO). Let's team up to solve this issue.

First off, you can only void a direct deposit paycheck to make the amount zero. Let me guide you through the steps on how to do it:

  1. Go to Payroll, then Employees.
  2. Select the Paycheck list.
  3. Select the paycheck(s) you'd like to delete or void, then select Void.
  4. Select Yes.

However, if you are unable to make the change, you'll see a message explaining why. I recommend contacting our Payroll Support Team for help with the paycheck.

Moreover, you can create a payroll summary report in QuickBooks Online. This way you can customize them and run reports to get the data you need the most.

Feel free to return to this thread whenever you have additional questions regarding cleaning your checking account or any other QuickBooks-related topics. Take care.
