Closing business, how do I archive a copy of all records for tax purposes

Are you closing or canceling your QuickBooks account and want to get a copy of your data recorded in QuickBooks? If yes, we have different steps to follow, depending on the information.

 

We can export some reports to always have a copy of the information recorded in QuickBooks. Here's how:

 

  1. Go to the Reports menu and enter the name of the report in the search box. You can pull payroll, sales tax, customers, vendors/contractors reports.
  2. Customize the report according to the details you need.
  3. Click the Export icon and select Export to Excel. Then, save them to your desktop to keep them.
