I understand that you're experiencing difficulties with getting a direct deposit to work in QuickBooks Desktop (QBDT). Let's troubleshoot this issue together, cmtrailers.

Before doing so, are you receiving any specific errors when sending data for direct deposit in QBDT?  Also,  you've mentioned you've created a check. Did you run your payroll manually to pay your employees?  I'd appreciate it if you could share it here with us. This way, we can look further into it and provide you with the appropriate solution. 

Apart from ensuring that your payroll tax table is up-to-date to avoid any payroll errors.  Also, it will help you streamline your payroll process, remain compliant, and generate accurate financial records.

Here's how:

1. Open QBDT, click on the Employees menu at the top, then choose Get Payroll Updates.
2. Hit the Download Entire Update checkbox.
3. Select Download Latest Update. An informational window will pop up once the download is complete.
