Does anyone else think that quickbooks is not taking enough taxes out of the payroll checks?

There are various reasons why some paychecks are incorrectly calculated. Most of the reasons are:

 

  • Incorrect employee payroll item setup
  • The wage limit has been reached
  • Inaccurate Year-to-date (YTD) amount


Please know that QuickBooks calculates payroll checks based on the information you’ve entered.

  2. Verify if they’ve reached the limit you set to withhold for a certain period.
  3. Review your SUI rates, and then update if necessary.
