Does anyone know why my screen goes blank when I press "Done" after completing Step 2 (Taxes) on the "Payroll Taxes Setup and Compliance" screen?

I just discontinued using Quickbooks Desktop Premier, and started Quickbooks Online

Hello, narthursbland. 

 

I have a solution to help you get past the blank screen on the Payroll Taxes Setup and Compliance page. 

 

A cache-related issue can cause the blank screen after completing the steps on the Payroll Taxes Setup and Compliance page. You can rule this out by using an incognito window: 

 

  • Google Chrome: Ctrl + Shift + N
  • Firefox: Ctrl + Shift + P
  • Safari (new versions): Command + Shift + N

 

Log in to your QuickBooks Online account and complete the taxes setup again. When the blank page doesn't show up, go back to the regular browser and clear the cache. This removes the webpage data that's causing the blank page issue. 

 

After clearing the cache, close any of the browser's instances to complete the process. You can also use another supported browser to complete the payroll tax setup as an alternative.
