Does anyone know why the section in the tax profile containing a spouses tax withholdings has been deleted? Wouldn’t this cause est taxes to be overstated?

Your QuickBooks Self-Employed account will retain every changes made and will not reset it automatically. When you said that your spouse's tax details were removed, is there another person who uses your QuickBooks Self-Employed account? Also, have you tried toggling the date on top?

In the meantime, we can check if this is caused by a browser problem. You'll need to open your account in a private web browser and check if you see the same problem with the deleted tax info. Unexpected issues with the features in QuickBooks Self-Employed, are sometimes associated with the large amount of data stored in the cache. A regular browser will constantly overwrite itself and will not remove history unless done manually.

Private browsing will not save any history, so it's a great place to identify issues in the browser. Use these keyboard shortcuts to launch a new private window:

• Google Chrome: press Ctrl + Shift + N
• Mozilla Firefox: press Ctrl + Shift + P
• Safari: press Command + Shift + N

If you can see your wife's tax information in the private browser, clear the cache to refresh the regular browser. You can also use a different browser and see if the issue persists there.

Also, please know that deleted tax profile information's effect towards the estimated tax calculation may vary. Did you declare dependents. and other income? Also, are you filing jointly or not?
