I can share some information about updating your deposit schedule, @vianca

If you've received a notice about a new deposit schedule or filing requirements, you can easily update that in your QuickBooks Online (QBO) account. Make sure to update it before the effective date.

Here are the steps:

  1. Go to the Gear icon (⚙) and choose Payroll Settings.
  2. Click on Edit ✎ next to the federal or state tax deposit schedule you wish to update.
  3. Select Change or add a new schedule.
  4. Click on the new filing and deposit schedule. Then, select an effective date.
  5. Select OK then Done.

Check this article for more information about the deposit and filing schedule change process: Change your deposit and filing schedule.

Here's more information about how QuickBooks populates each line for your form 941 and an equivalent report from your payroll account: How QuickBooks populates Form 941

Hello there, Ronnie Simmons.

In QuickBooks Desktop, you can go to Payroll Setup to change your deposit schedule and tax filing frequency. I'll show you how to do it.

  1. Go to the Employees menu.
  2. Select Payroll Setup.
  3. Go to the Taxes section and choose Schedule Payments.
  4. Locate the State Tax Withholding from the list.
  5. Click Edit, then select Payment Frequency.

Also, see this article for more information about setting up a payroll liability schedule in QuickBooks Desktop: Set up and pay scheduled or custom (unscheduled) liabilities.

For future reference, you can review this resource about paying your federal taxes and filling out appropriate payroll forms on time: E-file and e-pay federal forms and taxes in QuickBooks Desktop Payroll Enhanced.

You can reply to this post if you need further assistance changing your deposit schedule or filling frequency. I'll be here to help you.
