I instructed Intuit to paid $52.99 on 4/24/24. It was posted to QBO on 4/30/24. But it was posted again on 6/10/24! Why the duplication?

Thanks for dropping by here in the Community, @BIG5bcks. Let me help you how to deal with duplicate payments for quarter-state taxes in QuickBooks Online Payroll (QBOP).

We need to start running a payroll report to verify the validity of this duplicate payment. Then, let's review the audit log to check the history of this duplication, which allows you to see who created the payment and when.

If the issue persists, I suggest contacting our Payroll Support team for further review. Our support representatives have the necessary tools to determine what causes the duplication and check if they have the option to cancel this duplicated tax payment.

Here's how:

  1. Sign in to your QBO company.
  2. Go to the Help (?) icon.
  3. Select the Search tab, then click Contact Us.
  4. Choose Payroll.
  5. Choose a way to connect with us:
  • Callback for a calling session.
  • Chat to start a conversation with the next available expert.
