electronic filing of W-2's

We have more than 10 employees and the IRS needs our W-2's electronically filed. But the link to electronically file our W-2's is not hot. Why is this? We use basic payroll service, desktop not online qb. Any help would be appreciated.

Let me share some information about e-filing W-2 in QuickBooks Desktop.

 

E-filing feature is available in QuickBooks Desktop Enhanced.

 

Since you are using the QuickBooks Desktop Payroll Basic, you will need to file your W-2s manually by January 31. Here is a link to guide you in filing W-2: 2023 IRS W-2 filing instructions.
