Employee Columns collapsing

Help: in the employee center, when I have Active Employee open, the Name columns close up anytime I do anything.  This means I have to slide the column to the right every time to be able to see the employees' names.   How do I keep this column open all the way to see the full employee names?

Thanks for getting in touch with the Community, Jallyn. I appreciate your detailed information.

You may be encountering a screen issue on the Employee Center screen. If you've got a newer high-resolution monitor, you may need to change your default settings in QuickBooks.

You can start troubleshooting by changing display settings.

Here's how:

  1. Close QuickBooks Desktop.
  2. Open the Windows Start menu.
  3. Type "QuickBooks" into your search field, right-click the QuickBooks icon, then click Open file location.
  4. In your folder, right-hit the QuickBooks.exe file and choose Properties.
  5. Access your Compatibility tab.
  6. Tick the Disable display scaling on high DPI settings checkbox. You can also turn on Change High DPI settings and Override high DPI scaling behavior.
  7. Select Apply, then OK.

After finishing these steps, try reopening QuickBooks and looking for display issues when viewing your employee list.

If the display problem persists, you can continue our troubleshooting processes for screen issues.

I'll be here to help if there's any additional questions. Have a lovely day!
