An employee hasn't got paid yet, although payroll is processed Sep 1st. The payroll was processed 9/1, and it's not delivered to the employee's account. Does anyone have any idea?

Hello @koko-miraiclinic,

Thank you for posting here in the Community about your employee's payroll. I can provide clarification about how direct deposit works in QuickBooks Online.

This usually happens when the pay date falls on weekends and federal holidays (non-banking days). When this happens, the direct deposit will be drawn from your account the next banking day.

To adjust your payroll for a holiday (September 5 is Labor Day), you'll need to submit your paychecks a day earlier than usual. For more information, you can visit this article about how holidays affect your direct deposit: How do federal holidays affect my direct deposit?.

If you would like to pay them on time, you can issue a paper check instead. However, you need to check first if you can still cancel the existing direct deposit.

The payroll funding time determines how many days in advance of your paycheck date you need to send your payroll to us for processing. For more details, check out this link: View or change your direct deposit funding time.

Let me know if you need more clarification about the payroll process or paying employees on time. I'll keep an eye on your response. Have a great day.
