Employee receiving error "We can't get your info"

Employee can't see his paystubs on workforce, he could before. I think the problem started after an update. He has 2 employers on his account. His error message reads "We can't get your info" Your employer isn't connected QuickBooks Payroll. Contact them to access your paycheck. I am his employer and he isn't set up any differently than others.

This error message often indicates a disconnection between QuickBooks Desktop Payroll and QuickBooks Workforce. A reliable workaround for this issue is to re-invite your employee to QuickBooks Workforce. Here are the steps to do so:

 

  1. Sign into QuickBooks Desktop using your QuickBooks Administrator credentials.
  2. Select Employees, then Employee Center.
  3. Double-click on the name of the first employee you want to invite.
  4. From the Address and Contact tab, add their email address, then select Ok.
  5. Select Employees, then Manage Payroll Cloud Services
  6. Turn the status for QuickBooks Workforce to On, then select Invite Employees.
  7. Sign in with your Intuit Account, which should be the account of the person who owns the QuickBooks Payroll license.
  8. Select the employee you want to add to Workforce, then ensure their email addresses are entered.
  9. Select Send Invite. Once the invitations are sent, you should see Invited in the Status column next to each employee's name.
