Good afternoon, 

I have noticed that my employees' W-2 forms are missing the state employer ID number on box 15 . Could you please advise me on how to rectify this issue as soon as possible?

    @JS5421  The system draws that ID directly from the relevant state withholding Payroll Item.

     

    Edit the item, and you'll find the box to enter the state employer ID.

     

    As far as if you want to correct the W-2s, that would be done on a W-2C after adding the state ID to the state withholding payroll Item.

     

    I wouldn't lose too much sleep as it still presumably has the state abbreviation indicated as well as the EIN, but it'd be worth fixing.
