Employees able to lock time enteries

Does anyone else find it highly irregular that employees are able to lock time enteries so that payroll and administraion are unable to edit them?

I contacted QuickBooks Time (QB Time) to see if there was a way to turn this permission off and was told too " ask your employee's to not lock them" and that the only way to have them unlocked was to "contact customer support and request that they unlock them for you".  I do not have the time to contact QB Time every fornight to place this request, so that I can complete payroll.  I find the fact that Administration and Payroll can be locked out by the employee to be highly irregular and so does management who are now in the process of deciding if we change system or not, due to this issue.

Hello there, @RiverAg.

Let's send feedback or product recommendations to help improve the features and your experience using QuickBooks Time.

Some team member settings and permissions can be set company-wide from Company Settings in QuickBooks Time. However, the option to turn off employees' permission to lock their time entries is currently unavailable. With this, I would encourage you to send suggestions or product recommendations. We'll take them as opportunities to improve the various features of our products.

Your valuable feedback will be forwarded and reviewed by our Product Development team and will help improve your experience while using the program. Here's how:

  1. Go to the Help (?) button in the top right corner.
  2. Choose Suggest Idea.
  3. Enter Your Email and Idea.
  4. Click Send Idea.

Also, you may want to check out these articles as your reference to guide you in managing employees' timesheets and limiting the locations from which team members can clock in and out in QuickBooks Time:

Let me know if you have other feature concerns or questions about managing employees' time and permissions in QuickBooks Time. I'll gladly help. Take care, and have a great day, @RiverAg.
