Enhanced Payroll Direct Deposit

Hey, Guys!

-- First of all, we are using QuickBooks Premier Plus 2022, Non-Profit edition along with Desktop Enhanced Payroll w/unlimited employees.  -  We pay an average of 68 employees per pay date.

-- I'd like to begin offering the option of direct deposit for our employees.  -  I am now researching the cost and other factors concerning direct deposit to present to our Board of Directors.  -  I have just a few questions I'd like to ask and I would greatly appreciate your input.

-- First of all is the cost:  While searching, I found a few different answers, so I need to know which answer to accept.  -  The price mentioned most often for Desktop Enhanced Payroll is $36 per month plus $4 per paycheck.

-- Secondly, are there any known tips or tricks that would help in setting up direct deposit?

-- I have other questions, but this request is becoming too large! - I will wait for another time.

I'd be glad to share details to answer your questions about paying employees using Direct Deposit, jday3144.

 

QuickBooks offers different pricing depending on the subscription that you're using. This is why you can see different information when looking for Direct Deposit fees.

 

There's no monthly fee for using Direct Deposit since you're already subscribed to Enhanced Payroll for Unlimited Employees. It means that you will only need to pay the $4 per paycheck fee.

 

However, I recommend reaching out to our Payroll Support Team. They can take a look at your account and discuss with you the fees for using Direct Deposit that is specific to the subscription that you're using. Here's how: 

 

  1. Go to the Help menu and select Contact Us.
  2. Click Contact Us.
  3. Provide a short description of your concern, then click Continue.
  4. Select between Chat or Callback.

 

I will also be sharing the steps on how to activate Direct Deposit so you can start paying your employees electronically. Make sure to prepare the following details:

 

  • Business name, address and EIN
  • Principal officer social security number, birth date and home address
  • Online bank credentials or bank routing and account numbers

 

Here's how to activate it:

 

  1. Go to the Employees menu, Look for My Payroll Service, then choose Activate Direct Deposit.
  2. Select Get Started, then click Continue.
  3. Enter the email or user ID and password for your Intuit Account, then select Sign In. If you do not have an Intuit Account, select the Create an account link
  4. Click Start and type in all the required details. 
  5. Select Next, then choose Accept and Submit.

 

After that, check your bank account in 2 business days for a small debit amount of less than $1 from Intuit QuickBooks Payroll. This is to test if the account is active and can process ACH transactions. Additional information details about using Direct Deposit can be found in these articles:
