Enter paycheck to previous year

Allow me to provide some information regarding making paychecks in QuickBooks Online Payroll from the previous year.

You can only make changes to your pay history if you haven’t created any paychecks. That means, if you've already created paychecks for the current year, QuickBooks will no longer allow you to create previous year's paychecks. If you really need to enter a previous year's paycheck, I recommend contacting our Payroll Team. They have the necessary tools to check your account in a safe environment and walk you through the process of entering prior paychecks while using real-time screen sharing.

Here's how:

1. Log in to your QuickBooks Online company.
2. Go to Help (?).
3. Click on Contact Us.
4. Enter your concern, then select Let's talk.
5. Choose a way to connect with us:
   • Start a chat with a live support.
   • Get a callback from the next available support.

The availability of our support depends on the type of payroll you're using. For QuickBooks Online Payroll - Core, Premium, M-F 6 AM to 6 PM PT and for QuickBooks Online Payroll Elite - any time, any day.
