Entering pay roll in QuickBooks online.

We have 30 employees and each employee has 5 different pay categories with different pay rates.  That results in a possible 150 pay roll entries that are manually entered and then checked.  Is there an Excell templet that the employees' name and hours for each pay type can be entered and uploaded to QuickBooks to eliminate manual entry?

Let me share some insights about importing payroll data in QuickBooks(QBO), David346.

 

Currently, we're unable to import payroll data into QuickBooks Online. As a workaround, journal entries are a good way to record the accounting information for your payroll. You can check this article to learn how to do it: Manually enter payroll paychecks in QuickBooks Online.

 

Alternatively, you can visit our QuickBooks App Market to find a third-party importer tool that can bring in your payroll transactions into the program. You may also do this within your QBO company by following the steps below:

 

  1. Go to Apps menu.
  2. Select the Find apps tab.
  3. Enter a keyword in the search bar or click Browse category.
