Entering retroactive hourly pay

I have an hourly employee that was paid the incorrect rate for 2 pay periods.  Now I need to "catch up" what he WAS paid to what he SHOULD have been paid for the periods.  I have already calculated the gross dollar amounts of straight and over time, but how do I get this into the payroll?

Thanks for sharing what you're trying to achieve, pdavis3437.

You'll need to manually calculate the total amount for each employee and enter it on their next paycheck. Don't forget to add the amount owed in retro pay to the number of hours worked during the current pay period.

I've included an article about creating paychecks in QuickBooks Online. This serves as a guide when running payroll.

Additionally, you may also want to consider printing your checks and paystubs. Doing so helps you have a handy copy of them.
