We can review your employee's profile to understand why their overtime was calculated at double the rate, @Debbie1221. Let's discuss this matter further.

The reason the overtime was doubled on your record is that you are using the custom rate when entering it. To ensure the correct rate was applied, we can check the employee's profile.

Here's how:

  1. Click on the Payroll option in the sidebar menu.
  2. Go to the Employees tab.
  3. Select the employee whose profile you want to review.
  4. Scroll down to the Pay types section and click on the Edit icon.
  5. Verify the Common pay types you're using.
  6. If needed, update pay types and click Done to save the changes.

Please note that the overtime pay should be calculated by multiplying the employee's regular rate by 1.5 x overtime hours worked.

If the calculation is still incorrect, I recommend contacting our payroll support. They can review your account in a secure environment and further investigate why you're experiencing this issue. They'll also provide real-time assistance to get you back on track.
