Quickbooks Online is rejecting the 0.10% SUI rate we're assigned for 2024. I tried alerting Quickbooks Support to the bug, but the chatbot could not help. This needs to be fixed ASAP. See attached screenshot.

I appreciate you providing a screenshot for your concern, @maverick78.

I'll ensure you can reach the appropriate support to help you update your State Unemployment Insurance (SUI) rate in QuickBooks Online (QBO).

When paying your taxes, having the correct rate is essential for accurate calculation to avoid overpayment or penalties.

Since you can't change your current year rate, I recommend contacting our Payroll Support team. They have all the resources needed to assist you in updating your SUI tax rate successfully.

Here's how:

  1. Access your QuickBooks Online Company.
  2. Click on Help(?), then Contact Us.
  3. Enter your concern, then choose Let's talk.
  4. Choose your preferred way to connect with our support:
  • Start a chat with an expert.
  • Get a callback from the next available expert.

Consider checking their support hours to connect with them accordingly.

On the other hand, if you can't reach our support through QBO, you can connect with them through this website link: quickbooks.intuit.com/learn-support/help/en-us/contact-us. Please always remember to select the right product you're using.

Moreover, you can utilize this article whenever you need to review your tax form details: Access state agency websites for payroll.

If you have additional questions about updating the SUI rate in QuickBooks Online Payroll, don't hesitate to leave a comment in the thread to keep us updated.

Confirmed: Quickbooks support was able to update it with a 45 minute call since it cannot be updated online. Hopefully this helps someone else encounting this issue.

Also, Intuit Quickbooks Desktop did NOT update the Alaska State Unemployment Insurance (SUI) rate and wage base update for 2024. Payroll Update 22401 does not include Alaska.

A new Payroll Update is required immediately for Intuit to add Alaska's base wage rate of $49,700 and Employee Contribution Rate of 0.5%

An hour of time with QBD Help did not help.
