every time I try to add my employees, I get an error message: "Something went wrong. Give us a few minutes and come back."

Hello there, @da1982. I'll make sure you're able to get rid of the error so you can add your employee to QuickBooks Online (QBO) smoothly.

Let's find out if it's a browser-related issue by using incognito mode. It does not store cache files that can be corrupted and cause interruption and errors when accessing QBO sites. Once ready, below are the shortcut keys you can use:

• Google Chrome: press Ctrl + Shift + N
• Mozilla Firefox: press Ctrl + Shift + P
• Microsoft Edge: press Ctrl + Shift + N
• Safari: press Command + Shift +N

Once signed in, add the employee again and check if you still receive an error. If none, go back to your regular browser and clear the cache to eliminate piled-up data and refresh the background processes. If the same thing happens, you can use another supported browser. Might be that the one you're using has a temporary issue with QBO.

If the issue persists, I recommend getting in touch with our Payroll support team to investigate the error. You can also request a screen-sharing session so they can check your setup and provide additional steps to fix it.
