Who do I need to contact? Here is our issue......

RE: Missing tax payments for Q2 2023 and Q3 2023 for employment security. Case numbers 15104823422, 15106457717, 15107187008 and 1511031002

We have been attempting to collect these missing funds since July 2023, over 6 months ago. I have personally spent hours on chat, email and the phone trying to resolve this issue. We have been issued 4 separate case numbers, each promising a refund, each failing to do so.

At this point, we have exhausted all avenues for recoupment of these funds. We expect a full refund within 10 business days. The amounts missing are $7709.51 for Q2 2023 and $9948.52 for Q3 2023, a total of $17,658.03.

If this is not accomplished, out attorney will be filing a lawsuit, which will include the original amounts debited, our time trying to resolve the missing money, attorney fees as well as interest accrued for the missing money. We will also be filing a complaint with our local attorney general, as well as the Federal Trade Commission.

Our company uses QBO payroll and have been trying, without success, to recover two payments that were debited from our account for our ESD payments, but never paid to ESD. The reports that QBO filed with ESD were also rejected for incorrect data. So, even though we were paying for this service, we had to manually file the reports, AND cover the missing money debited from our account that ESD never received.

At that time, we were using QBO automatic taxes and forms service, as of Q4 2023, we are no longer doing so.

We have re-checked and re-confirmed account numbers and verified with ESD that they never received these payments. Multiple times over.

Our CPA, even using the “Dedicated” CPA line, has had no success in recovering on money, even though she was told on several occasions it was in process.

Let's get this sorted QBO,

I can see that you've put a lot of time and effort into seeking a resolution regarding the missing tax payment issue, @NBC-April, and I appreciate you for that. The amount of missing funds is substantial, and I'm here to route you to the appropriate support that can address your needs.

Resolving missing tax payments and obtaining a refund requires looking into your QuickBooks account details which I'm unable to do here in this public forum. In that case, I highly recommend reaching out to our Payroll Support team again.

I'm aware that you've already gotten in touch with them, but it's the best we can do right now given that they have all the tools required. You can use your previous case numbers and give that info to the available agent for help. You can also request a supervisor for further assistance in getting the funds.

Here's how you can contact them using QuickBooks:

  1. Go to the Help icon in the top right-hand corner.
  2. Select Search, then press the Contact Us button.
  3. Enter your question in the box and hit Continue.
  4. Choose the best way you'll want to reach out to us.
    • Start a chat with a support expert.
    • Get a callback from the next available expert.

Please check the support hours for your Payroll product to receive prompt assistance.

Additionally, I'm adding this article to learn how you can wrap up this year’s payroll and prepare for the next: Year-end checklist for QuickBooks Online Payroll.
