Fixing payroll entry

I require some help with fixing a payroll entry that was attached to the wrong bank account in QB.

The direct deposit and taxes are coming out of the correct bank account and the employee was paid. However, I cannot reconcile my bank accounts in quickbooks as the payroll was linked to the wrong recorded bank account in QB. Can I void or edit this payroll DD to match the correct quickbook bank account to be able to reconcile my actual bank account with the books. Thank you.

I'd like to share some insights about direct deposits in QuickBooks Online Payroll.

 

Once the direct deposits are successfully transmitted, the system will no longer allow you to void or delete the payroll transaction. I'd recommend contacting our Payroll Team to help you change the correct bank account for your payroll.

 

Here's how:

 

  1. Log in to QuickBooks Online account.
  2. Go to Help (?).
  3. Select Contact Us.
  4. Put a brief description of your concern, then select Let's talk.
  5. Choose a way to connect:
  • Start a chat with a live support.
  • Get a callback from the next available expert.
