Full service swap to qbo nightmare

Payroll automatically switched us over to this supposed “better” system with qbo. It has been horrific. I’m trying to get the word out to those who may have not of migrated yet, save any data you need now or else there will be a good chance it disappears. The new system does not support multiple workers comp codes per individual employee which I found out while trying to do the new payroll. Since this obviously saves me thousands of dollars a year, this platform will not be sufficient and I am currently looking for a new service. Either way, I still have to do payroll reports with my workers comp insurance company. All the data from the past has not migrated as advertised and has evaporated into the “cloud”. I have spent the last 4 days and over 5 hours being on the phone trying to get the reports that use to take less than a minute to do. Needless to say, that is time not spent on making my company better. I’m not sure if this is a publicly traded company but to you bear market players I have a feeling this might be a company to short before the next quarterly earnings report.

I know how important it is to have multiple workers comp codes in QuickBooks Online Payroll, Cardinal trees.

However, the option to do so is unavailable in the system. In the meantime, as a way around, you can pull up and view the Workers' Compensation report to get the details of how much you need to pay.

Here's how:

  1. Click Reports in the left panel.
  2. On the search field, enter Workers' Compensation.
  3. Customize the report to show the information you need.

While it's unavailable, I'd suggest submitting feedback within your QuickBooks Online (QBO) account. This way, it goes to our product developers to help improve your experience while using the program. See the steps below:

  1. Go to the Gear icon at the upper right and select Feedback under Profile.
  2. Enter your comments or product suggestions. You can also attach a screenshot or file to combine them all.
  3. Click Next.
  4. You'll be provided a list of suggested help articles related to your comments. You can read through them or choose Skip and send message.
  5. Select the appropriate category from the drop-down menu.
  6. Tap Send message.

I've additionally included a couple of detailed resources about working with workers' compensation which may come in handy moving forward:

Assign a Workers' Comp Class to an employee in QuickBooks Online Payroll.

Should you need additional help regarding workers comp, please let me know. I'm more than willing to lend you a hand, Cardinal trees.
