Error code 10000 often occurs when direct deposit transactions fail, Linda076.

Other possible reasons for this error are network connectivity problems, outdated software, banking errors, or damaged data files. In your case, to resolve error C10000, make sure your banking details are correct. You can follow these steps.

  1. Navigate to the Employees menu in QuickBooks and select My Payroll Service.
  2. Log in with your Intuit Account when prompted and choose Accounts/Billing Information.
  3. Review your banking information and update any incorrect details as necessary.

If you encounter the same problem, a corrupted data file might be causing issues in QuickBooks. QuickBooks includes a built-in tool to repair it. First, make sure you're using supported QuickBooks version. Doing this can address bugs or issues.

Additionally, you can rebuild your company file. The steps below will guide you through the process.

  1. Go to File, Utilities, and then select Rebuild Data.
  2. QuickBooks will ask to make a backup before it rebuilds your company file. Select OK.
  3. Select where you want to save your backup, then OK. Don’t replace another backup file. Enter a new name.
  4. File name and select Save.
  5. Select OK when you get the message Rebuild has completed.
  6. Once done, go to the File menu and select Verify Data to check for additional damage.
