Question

Green Dot checking accounts are being duplicated in the Chart of Accounts by QBO/Quickbooks Payroll. We have 3 accounts when there was only - and should be - one

This is making reconciling our transactions hard. For example, QBO created a new account just to record an upcoming IRS tax payment. We thought it might be because of the numbering, e.g. 1000 reserved for Quickbooks / GreenDot checking, but that didn't fix it. Is anybody else experiencing this? Does Intuit have a handle on their APIs that map transactions between its various, e.g.  checking, payroll, bookkeeping, services??

Hi there, @sgillett.

I want to make sure your concern with Green Dot checking accounts is taken care of, and I'd like to redirect you to the best support group available to get this addressed right away.

QuickBooks doesn't create bank or checking accounts automatically in the Chart of Accounts. This issue might be coming from your Green Dot checking account. To verify, I recommend reaching out to Green Dot support. This way, they can further check on this matter and provide some insights about the integration.

I'll be adding this article to know more about QuickBooks Checking account: Learn more about QuickBooks Checking.

Come back to this post and let me know how the call goes, @sgillett. I'll be standing by to your response.
