Question

Hello, last year I use a different mileage tracker and I was able to upload that mileage into my quick books. I was wondering if there is still a way to do that?

Yes, you can still import your mileage data from MileIQ into QuickBooks, bits2leashes. Let me provide information so you can continuously manage your mileage data in the system.

QuickBooks Online (QBO) offers a way to manually add your trips for easy tracking and reporting. You can simply follow the steps below to import your mileage data from MileIQ.

  1. Log in to your MileIQ account and export your mileage data as a CSV file.
  2. Open your QBO account and navigate to the Expenses menu.
  3. Select Mileage.
  4. Click the Add trip dropdown and choose Import trips.
  5. From the Import trips dropdown, select MileIQ, then hit Select and Import.
  6. Follow the prompts to map the fields.

If you encounter any issues, you can perform some troubleshooting steps to rectify them. You can start by accessing your account in an incognito or private window to determine if it's related to browser concerns. Check out the shortcut keys below for quick navigation:

  • Google Chrome: Ctrl + Shift + N
  • Safari 11 or newer: + Shift + N
  • Mozilla Firefox: Ctrl + Shift + P
  • Microsoft Edge: Ctrl + Shift + P

From there, redo the process. If it works, get back to your regular browser and clear its cache. Doing this helps the program to run smoothly. You can also use other supported browsers as an alternative.
