Correcting any W-2 mistake depends on how your taxes and forms are managed. Bear in mind that some data on the W-2 form can't be fixed within the program. This includes the following:

 

  • Employee prefixes (Mr., Mrs., etc.)
  • Employee address
  • Business Name
  • Business address

 

If your automatic taxes and forms option is activated, you'll have to get in touch with our Payroll Support Team to request a correction, as they're the ones who can update the data and submit a W-2C on your behalf.

 

If your automatic taxes and forms feature is disabled and hasn't submitted your W-2s yet, you'll need to fix the issue in your product and then file your W-2 forms as you usually would.
