I want to ensure you're able to complete your payroll history setup, resilientaps.

For now, try to open your account in a private web browser and check if it allows you to complete the setup there. Unexpected issues with the features in QuickBooks, like payroll, are sometimes associated with the amount of data stored in the cache. This is because a regular browser will constantly overwrite itself and will not remove history unless done manually.

Private browsing will not save any history, so it's a great place to identify issues in the browser. Use these keyboard shortcuts to launch a new private window:

  • Google Chrome: press Ctrl + Shift + N
  • Mozilla Firefox: press Ctrl + Shift + P
  • Safari: press Command + Shift + N

If the problem doesn't come up, clear the cache to resolve browser issues in QBO. You can also use a different browser and see if the issue persists there.

You can go back and make changes to your pay history if you haven’t created any paychecks. Go to Payroll and select Overview to get back to the setup and pay history tasks.

If you’ve already created paychecks, contact us to make changes to your pay history. Here's the detailed information to enter your payroll history with a video tutorial: Add pay history to QuickBooks Online Payroll.

Please update me with the result. I want to look into this topic and make sure it is resolved for you. Have a good one!
