Hi, Need W2 form

I'm here to ensure you can file your W-2 form in QuickBooks Online. No worries, I'll walk you through the process so you can generate it successfully. 

The filing of the W-2 form depends on how you set up your account. We can do this in your behalf if you chose us to pay and file your federal and state payroll taxes. Otherwise, you can pay and file them yourself. Please take note that the deadline to file them electronically is January 27, 2022.

If you have automated tax payments and filings turned off in QuickBooks Online Payroll Core, Premium, or Elite, you'll need to e-file your W-2s. These forms are then sent to the SSA and state agencies.

Here's how to e-file your W-2s:

1. In your QuickBooks Online account, select Payroll, then Overview.
2. From Tasks, select the Show more dropdown to view all forms due.
3. From W-2 Copies A & D, select File now.
4. Select Annual Forms, then W-2 Copies A & D.
5. Select Continue.
6. If prompted, tell us whether or not one or more employees were active participants in a retirement plan during the tax year.
7. On the Employer Copies: Form W-2 page, select View to open Acrobat Reader.
8. Review and print Copy D (Employer's copy) for your records.
9. Select Submit to authorize us to file Copy A of Form W-2 electronically for you.

Once done, we'll send you an email to let you know if it's complete. You can also check your filing status on the status page:

1. Select Taxes, then Payroll Taxes.
2. Select Payroll forms or filings, then W-2.

Additionally, you can print your W2 forms and send them to your employees by January 31. This needs to be compatible with the program to ensure it will print correctly. That said, you can order w2 kits here.
